This beautiful Grade3B listed Heritage Farmhouse set in 1833sqm of erf sits at the entrance to the Voelklip residential district and Grotto Beach. One of the first buildings in the area it dates back before the 1900’s. After years of neglect the building has been lovingly restored and converted into a restaurant and bar. With a contemporary feel of where the old meets the new, exposed timber beams coupled with two cosy fires and a “Sun Room” for those chilly winter days.
The feeling of space is apparent, folding doors allow the outside world in with west facing scenic views of mountains from the outside deck and beautiful sunsets on summers evening make it the perfect place for afternoon sundowners and relaxed dinners.
The Restaurant
Comprising of several dining areas and a lounge bar within the main building, Lizette’s lends itself as a great location for events, private and special family parties.
With onsite parking facilities, enclosed outside seating and kiddies play are, coupled with a 150m stoep and decking area you can enjoy the venue anytime of year, come sunny days under the shade of the trees in the garden or those cold winter evening, with a glass of Creation Syrah Grenache, and a cosy roaring fire, to soaking up the ambience.
Coffee Bar
The Lizette’s blend was especially crafted to embody the spirit of Lizette’s. This beautifully balanced blend comprising of beans from India, Tanzania and Columbia has layers of rich flavours, supported by an elegant structure and subtle acidity. We roast each origin separately in order to get the most from it and carefully blend afterword. This is all done by hand, in small batches, to ensure quality and consistency that is scarce in an age pressed for time.
We are a small batch, big heart and trust that you will experience that in every drop.
